Dan had to wear an annoying chin piece for his role of Jay Leno.
When Dan was young he had the opportunity to see Rich Little perform at a local event. Dan was able to get backstage to meet and talk with Rich. Rich even signed Dan's program from the event. During the filming of "The Late Shift" Dan took his old program to show Rich. Rich signed it again, writing, "I always knew we would get to work together!"
